Why CrowdStrike Falcon supports FM's MDR offering

Endpoint and identity signals need an agreed response process. Falcon provides the platform; the service agreement defines who monitors, contains and escalates.

FM CyberSecurity’s MDR offering uses CrowdStrike Falcon to connect security telemetry with investigation and response. The case for the platform is the ability to work across relevant signals and combine tooling with an operating service.

Evaluate the investigation, not just the dashboard

An endpoint detection may need identity or cloud context before its significance is clear. Falcon’s platform brings those capabilities together, subject to the modules and data sources configured.

When evaluating it, follow a representative alert from evidence to action. Check what the analyst can see, what remains outside coverage and which response actions are available. Include normal administrative activity so that tuning preserves useful detection rather than broadly excluding trusted tools.

Know which team provides the service

For Falcon Complete, CrowdStrike’s own team provides the contracted managed detection and response. FM’s role covers onboarding, policy tuning and local escalation in Norwegian.

Secured by FM CyberSecurity is a separate offering with FM’s own agentic SOC built on CrowdStrike. The service descriptions and agreements should make that distinction clear.

A shared platform does not automatically give every service the same hours, scope, response authority or commercial terms. Verify those against the option being purchased.

The customer still supplies business decisions

Containment can affect operations. Agree which systems can be isolated immediately and which require a named decision-maker. Keep an escalation contact available during the hours the service promises to cover.

Also define the handoff into recovery or a larger investigation. Initial containment is not the same as rebuilding systems, conducting a full forensic investigation or deciding what to tell customers.

The Falcon overview explains the product roles. A useful next step is to list the systems requiring coverage and compare that list with FM’s MDR scope, including what your own team will continue to handle.
